AEGIS DATABASE // REPORT 11
SITUATION REPORT: POST-FRACTURE STASIS & CONTRACTOR LOCKOUT
CLASSIFICATION: ADMINISTRATIVE / STRATEGIC UPDATE
DATE: June 01, 2026
LOCATION: Sector 1 (The Threshold)
AUTHOR: Dr. Aris Thorne
I. THE QUIET
Following the "Fracture Event" (May 25), the Complex has entered a state of unusual dormancy.
- Sensors: Background radiation levels in Sector 1 have returned to nominal baseline. The "shearing" visual effect has vanished completely.
- Atmosphere: Wulfsige describes the air as "too still." The usual low-frequency hum of the fluorescent lights seems dampened. It is the quiet before a storm.
II. OPERATIONAL SHUTDOWN
Aegis Research Division has initiated a mandatory 7-Day Safety Stand-Down.
- Protocol: All manned exploration beyond Sector 2 is suspended.
- Monitoring: Only automated rovers and remote sensors remain active in the Deep Zones.
- Objective: To allow the localized reality around the Threshold to "heal" following the violent tear caused by the Cobalt-Black incursion.
III. CONTRACTOR STATUS: LOCKOUT
In response to the formal complaint filed by Unit Gemini, all Cobalt-Black Dynamics personnel have been barred from the facility pending a safety review.
- The Shift Change: Intelligence suggests Cobalt-Black is using this lockout to perform a full crew rotation. They are flying in a new team of explorers who are likely unaware of the fate of their predecessors.
- Sr. Officer Miller's Assessment: "They aren't leaving. They're just reloading. The next batch will be just as hungry for the bounty, and just as dangerous."
IV. UNIT GEMINI STATUS
Specialists Wulfsige and Luca are currently on Passive Watch.
- Activity: They are utilizing this downtime for rest, gear maintenance, and "Pack Bonding" in the secure quarters.
- Readiness: Despite the quiet, Wulfsige has ordered full combat loadouts to be prepped and ready at the airlock. He does not trust the silence.
Next Steps: Full operations are scheduled to resume on June 05, 2026, pending final stability checks.
