AEGIS DATABASE // REPORT 07

SURVEILLANCE LOG: SECTOR 0 ANOMALY & "ATTIC" INCURSION
CLASSIFICATION: CRITICAL / SECURITY COMPROMISED
DATE: May 05, 2026
LOCATION: Sector 0 Main Grid (Lobby)
MONITORING: 5-Camera Array (Motion/Audio Activated)

I. SURVEILLANCE SETUP

Following the Phantom Civilian incident of May 02, a high-density surveillance grid was installed across Sector 0. Five cameras — designated A through E — are mounted in a crisscross pattern providing unobstructed sightlines down all five primary Infinite Aisles radiating from the Threshold. Recording is triggered by audio above 20dB or pixel motion displacement above 5%. The system is independent of the central camera network.

II. EVENT LOG — EVENING SHIFT

III. ANOMALY 1 — THE "NULL AUDIO" EVENT

Timestamp: 02:45 AM. All five camera feeds simultaneously.

Audio telemetry on all five independent feeds flatlined — simultaneously, instantaneously, without prior degradation or warning signal.

Technical analysis confirms this was not a mechanical failure. The noise floor did not drop to static. It dropped to absolute digital zero — a state that should be physically impossible in an occupied, powered facility. Every ambient sound in Sector 0 ceased to exist in the recording data for exactly 12 seconds before audio resumed as if nothing had occurred.

Physics Division assessment: a localized dampening field, or a pressure event of sufficient magnitude to suppress sound propagation across the entire Sector 0 footprint. Duration: 12 seconds. Origin: unknown.

IV. ANOMALY 2 — THE "ATTIC" INCURSION

Timestamp: 03:33 AM. Camera C — North Corridor.

Motion sensors triggered a recording event. No personnel on the floor. The motion was in the ceiling.

Upscaled video analysis reveals the ceiling tiles in Sector C dissolving or displacing — not falling, not being pushed, but moving fluidly, as if the material had briefly lost cohesion. Through the breach, a mass of thick, dark tendrils emerged. Not the thin wire-like limbs of the Mimic. Not the amorphous shape of Bacteria. These appeared muscular. Wet. The mass extended approximately six feet into the corridor, probing the air slowly, then retracted back through the ceiling within seconds. The tiles re-solidified behind it.

The total duration of the incursion: 19 seconds.

V. STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT — THE "SAFE ZONE" FALLACY

This footage invalidates a foundational assumption of our operational model.

Sector 0 is not safe.

We have operated on the premise that the crawlspaces above the ceiling tiles were empty infrastructure. They are not. The Attic is a hostile biome housing at least one entity of significant mass. That entity entered Sector 0 last night, probed the air of the corridor where our personnel sleep and work, and left. It could have stayed. It did not.

We do not yet know why.

VI. OPERATIONAL CRISIS — THE "GEMINI BOTTLENECK"

Following this footage, research team morale has collapsed. All teams are now refusing sector entry without Unit Gemini escort. They cite the Assets' canine senses as the only reliable detection system for overhead threats.

This is not operationally sustainable. Wulfsige and Luca are biological organisms. They require sleep, food, and decompression time. Overworking them degrades their sensory acuity — the exact capability everyone is depending on. We cannot run them into the ground and expect the warning system to function.

Effective Immediately:

  1. Triage System: Unit Gemini will be deployed only for high-value, high-risk deep zone missions. They are not a universal escort service.
  2. Standard Security: Sector 0 operations will be covered by conventional armed security details during Unit Gemini's off-hours.
  3. Ceiling Protocol: All personnel are ordered to maintain vertical situational awareness at all times. Look up is the new standing order. It is not a suggestion.

End of Report.
