**PACK OBSERVATION REPORT 02: VOCALIZATION & COMMUNICATION**
**SUBJECTS:** Unit Gemini
**OBSERVER:** Dr. Elena Vance
***
### **I. THE "HUSKY" GENE**
Specialist Luca displays the distinct (micro) vocal characteristics of his Husky lineage. He is almost incapable of being quiet when emotional.
* **The "Woo":** When excited or frustrated, Luca does not bark; he "talks." This manifests as a series of quiet high-pitched yawns, woo-ing sounds, and melodic complaining.
* **Example:** When informed the mess hall was out of pizza, Luca emitted a 15-second mournful groan.
### **II. THE "WOLF" SILENCE**
Specialist Wulfsige, conversely, rarely vocalizes.
* **Sub-Vocal Communication:** Wulfsige communicates primarily through **Micro-Signals**. A shift of the ear, a flare of the nostril, or a stiffening of the tail.
* **The Rumble:** His only audible non-speech sound is a low-frequency chest rumble (Infrasound). This is a dominance/comfort signal used to settle the pack.
### **III. CROSS-COMMUNICATION OBSERVED**
**Context:** Mission Debriefing (Post-Sector 9).
**Luca:** (Pacing, waving hands) "And then the thing went *SCREEE*, and I was like 'Whoa!' and I jumped left—did you see me jump left?—and then Wulfsige grabbed it!" (Excited yipping/talking).
**Wulfsige:** (Sitting silently).
**Observation:**
While Luca is narrating the event at 100mph, Wulfsige simply watches him. Occasionally, Wulfsige will make a soft *chuff* sound.
* **Effect:** Every time Wulfsige chuffs, Luca takes a breath. Wulfsige is pacing Luca's breathing with his own sounds, regulating the younger wolf's heart rate without Luca realizing it.
**Conclusion:**
Luca provides the **Warning Siren** (he alerts the team to danger loudly). Wulfsige provides the **Control Frequency** (he keeps the team from panicking).
**End of Report.**
